La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec is a vital part of the extensive radio work of MissionGO
which reaches into many French-speaking countries of the world. The broadcasts are recorded in the studio of the radio follow-up office in Châteauguay.
The ministry began in 1955 in the Back to the Bible Broadcast studios in Lincoln, Nebraska through a staff member who spoke French fluently and had a burden for the French-speaking people of the world. An office was soon established in Aix-en-Provence in France.
In 1974, an office was opened in Châteauguay, Québec, under the direction of MissionGO representatives, Clarence and Pearl Shelly. At the present time, the broadcasts are aired on one station in Montreal and one in Champlain, NY. Stephen Frank became the director of La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec in 2006. His wife, Karen, is also a representative of MissionGO.
The weekly French-language 15-minute broadcast features Pastor Michel Martel, a Québec evangelist who faithfully teaches the Word of God. Audio messages (in French only) are available on CDs at a reasonable cost as well as approximately 40 books in French on the Christian life.
Action Mondiale d’Évangélisation (Québec) Inc is the name of the Québec incorporation of MissionGO

The thoughtful man therefore thinks of the afterlife, but only one throughout the history of mankind has triumphed over death; one who spoke with authority and simplicity of eternal life – Jesus Christ.
Aches and Praise Five Hundred & Ninety Two
Last night a recently-retired hockey player returned to Montreal, where he began his career in the National Hockey League. Pernell-Karl Sylvester Subban, better known as P.K. Subban, received a lengthy ovation from the fans at the Bell Centre. As I thought about others who are known by their initials, B.B. King came to mind. The late blues guitarist’s name was Riley B. King, but he became known as B.B. after he moved from Mississippi to Memphis, Tennessee. According to one post on the Internet, his first major radio appearance was in 1948 on the West Memphis, Arkansas station KWEM. After that he began appearing on the Memphis radio station WDIA where he later worked as a D.J. During his time at WDIA, he earned the nickname “Beale Street Blues Boy”, which was eventually shortened to “B.B.”
You can probably think of many people and things that ae known by initials. One person who is called “JC” by some is different than everyone else, because He is the Son of God. Jesus left the splendour of heaven to be born in Bethlehem in conditions that were far different than modern hospitals. He came to Earth to make it possible for sinful people to have a personal relationship with their Creator.
This week I began reading “A Life Beyond Amazing” by Dr. David Jeremiah. He writes: “The qualities of a life beyond amazing are produced within us by the Holy Spirit. It is His love, joy, peace, endurance, compassion, generosity, integrity, humility, and self-discipline you seek. These qualities represent the essence of the personality of Jesus Himself. When the Spirit of Christ comes to live within us, He reproduces Himself, putting these traits at our core so we can achieve godly character. Our first step, then, is our commitment to Christ and our willingness to grow in understanding of how the Holy Spirit works in us.”
I am very grateful for all the people who stand behind Karen and me as we seek to proclaim the Good News of salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ. In the first few days of this year, I have thought about how loving our Lord is and how wonderful it is to be part of His family. On January 9th, I celebrated fifty years of being a child of God. I was seventeen when I asked God’s forgiveness for my sins and the Lord has led me through many wonderful times since then. Karen and I celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary on December 24th and thank the Lord for His many blessings, including four children and five grandchildren.
How about you? Are you walking closely with the Lord? If not, I urge you to read the Bible and ask God to take control of your life. If you have never repented of your sins, you can do so wherever you are. You don’t need to be in a church or with others. The Lord loves you with an everlasting love and He desires that you have an amazing relationship with Him.
Scripture for the weekend: “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:22-23 (ESV)
Thought for the weekend: “Grace can’t be earned. God doesn’t owe us His blessings, and we couldn’t pay Him back for them even if He expected us to. The proper response to God’s grace is gratitude.” – Charles R. Swindoll (from his book “Clinging to Hope”)
