La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec is a vital part of the extensive radio work of MissionGO
which reaches into many French-speaking countries of the world. The broadcasts are recorded in the studio of the radio follow-up office in Châteauguay.
The ministry began in 1955 in the Back to the Bible Broadcast studios in Lincoln, Nebraska through a staff member who spoke French fluently and had a burden for the French-speaking people of the world. An office was soon established in Aix-en-Provence in France.
In 1974, an office was opened in Châteauguay, Québec, under the direction of MissionGO representatives, Clarence and Pearl Shelly. At the present time, the broadcasts are aired on one station in Montreal and one in Champlain, NY. Stephen Frank became the director of La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec in 2006. His wife, Karen, is also a representative of MissionGO.
The weekly French-language 15-minute broadcast features Pastor Michel Martel, a Québec evangelist who faithfully teaches the Word of God. Audio messages (in French only) are available on CDs at a reasonable cost as well as approximately 40 books in French on the Christian life.
Action Mondiale d’Évangélisation (Québec) Inc is the name of the Québec incorporation of MissionGO

The thoughtful man therefore thinks of the afterlife, but only one throughout the history of mankind has triumphed over death; one who spoke with authority and simplicity of eternal life – Jesus Christ.

In showing friends our office in Chateauguay yesterday, I remembered that many of the Bible courses that we send to children and teens, as well as adults, come from “The Mailbox Club” which is located in Georgia, U.S.A. These lessons are available in Spanish and French. For more information about the courses in English and Spanish, please visit: https://www.mailboxclubonline.org/lf/homepageTMC.php. These courses are also available from “U B David & Ill B Jonathan” – https://ubdavid.org/index.html, as well as on our ministry website: www.lavoixdelevangile.ca.
For those of you who have been reading my blog posts for some time, you know that one of my favourite authors is Dr. Charles Stanley, who served as a pastor in Atlanta, Georgia for many years and recently went to be with the Lord. In “The Charles F. Stanley Life Principles Bible” he wrote about what the Bible says about the adventure of obedience: “Christians sometimes approach obedience as a way of avoiding the negative consequences of disobedience. They see obedience as a burden, not as the road to blessing.
But God intended our walk of faith to be a great adventure, motivated by our love for Jesus Christ. Obedience is about expressing our love for and trust in God, not about avoiding unpleasant consequences. That is why John can say, ‘This is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome’ (1 John 5:3).
When we place our trust in the omnipotence of the Lord and act on His prompting, life becomes worthwhile and purposeful. We need not be afraid of the future because God already knows the outcome of our obedience – and we can trust in His promise that He works everything out for our good (Rom. 8:28). Although we may not understand how, we are confident that the Lord is continuously moving us through a variety of circumstances toward His overriding purpose for our lives. However, if we fail to obey Him because of a mistaken desire for safety, we reject the opportunity for God to demonstrate His awesome power in us.”
Lord willing, we will examine the adventure of obedience more next week. Speaking of next week, my wife will celebrate her birthday then. I thank the Lord for leading me to meet a wonderful young woman named Karen when we were in our twenties. By God’s grace, we have shared life for more than 41 years now. We are grateful for His love for us and the many blessings He has given us, including family (four children and five grandchildren) and friends.
If you would like more information about our ministry, please write us or call (450) 699-7308. To God be the glory!
Scripture for the weekend: “Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples. For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before Him, strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.” Psalm 96:3-6 (NASB)
By His grace,
Steve
