La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec is a vital part of the extensive radio work of MissionGO
which reaches into many French-speaking countries of the world. The broadcasts are recorded in the studio of the radio follow-up office in Châteauguay.
The ministry began in 1955 in the Back to the Bible Broadcast studios in Lincoln, Nebraska through a staff member who spoke French fluently and had a burden for the French-speaking people of the world. An office was soon established in Aix-en-Provence in France.
In 1974, an office was opened in Châteauguay, Québec, under the direction of MissionGO representatives, Clarence and Pearl Shelly. At the present time, the broadcasts are aired on one station in Montreal and one in Champlain, NY. Stephen Frank became the director of La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec in 2006. His wife, Karen, is also a representative of MissionGO.
The weekly French-language 15-minute broadcast features Pastor Michel Martel, a Québec evangelist who faithfully teaches the Word of God. Audio messages (in French only) are available on CDs at a reasonable cost as well as approximately 40 books in French on the Christian life.

Aches and Praise Six Hundred & Twelve
In recent weeks I have been reading a book entitled “We Cannot Be Silent” by R. Albert Mohler, Jr. On the back cover of the book is the following recommendation by Robert P. George: “Albert Mohler is one of our nation’s most brilliant and courageous Evangelical Christian thinkers. In We Cannot Be Silent, he explains to Bible-believing Christians of all traditions why it is our duty to speak out in defense of biblical and natural-law principles of sexual morality and marriage. To bear witness to Christ and the gospel in contemporary culture is to make oneself a ‘sign of contradiction’ to those powerful forces who equate ‘progress’ and ‘social justice’ with sexual license and what Pope Francis calls ‘gender ideology.’ And that is what we, as Christians, must do – no matter the cost to ourselves. With the future of the family – and indeed, the very dignity of the human person – at stake, silence is not an option.”
You might wonder who Robert P. George is. When this book was published in 2015, he was a professor at Princeton University. According to the following website – https://politics.princeton.edu/people/robert-p-george he is currently on leave from Princeton University.
When we read or hear a recommendation from someone, we have a choice to make: accept it as true or reject it. In this case, I had no hesitation to accept it as true. When we talk to people about the Lord Jesus Christ, we can recommend that they read the Bible in order to learn what it says about mankind, sin, redemption, and so much more.
In “We Cannot Be Silent” Albert Mohler writes: “The ultimate authority for our understanding of reality is the Bible, which is nothing less than the very Word of God. Our knowledge on anything of importance regarding essential questions of life is grounded in the reality that the one true and living God is not only the God who is but also the God who speaks.
As evangelical theologian Carl F. H. Henry explained so beautifully, God loves us so much that He forfeits His own personal privacy that His creatures might know Him. For this reason, evangelical Christians turn to Scripture by instinct. Going back to the Reformation itself, we live by the principle of Sola Scriptura, affirming that Scripture and Scripture alone is our final authority. The reason for this is straightforward. We believe that when Scripture speaks, God speaks. This means that to obey the Scriptures is to obey God and to disobey the Scriptures is to disobey God. Evangelicals can never look at Scripture as just the communication of mere information. The Bible summons us to be obedient and humbly receive what God has revealed to us in His Word.”
